Matthew Sarmento is a current member of the Men’s National Field Hockey team who competed at the 2016 Olympics, 2018 World Cup & Commonwealth Games, and has earned 3 Pan American Silver medals.
As a fast, attacking, dynamic forward Matthew has played over 115 games for Canada in addition to playing professionally in Germany and Belgium.
With the Men’s team having qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Matthew has his eye on the prize and continues to work hard in his Olympic preparation training.
Matthew’s passion for coaching high performance athletes shows in the energy and the positive attitude that he brings to the pitch.
